TOR-1 deolefination catalyst

1. Introduction

Catalytic reforming oil is rich in a small amount of olefin. As the reforming severity becomes higher and higher, the olefin content in the reformed oil also increases significantly. Olefin in aromatic hydrocarbon in qualified reforming oil must be removed, or it will affect bromine index, corrosivity, or acid pickling color of aromatic products. A small amount of olefin in the reformed oil has different effects on aromatics extraction and performance of downstream, adsorbent, and catalyst. Thus, how to reduce the olefin content in the reformed oil is a difficult problem to be solved in the industry. Olefin in reforming oil can be removed by the ways of granular argil adsorption, selective hydrogenation and molecular sieve catalytic refining.

2. Performance index of TOR-1 catalyst

TOR-1 deolefination catalyst adopts special molecular sieve, with unique pore structure and acid strength distribution, as active component. Single pass life of the catalyst is 8 times that of industrial argil. Compared with argil, TOR-1 has longer life cycle, lower labour intensity, and lower waste emission.
